Hybrid nanocoolant for enhanced heat transfer performance in vehicle cooling system

An enormous amount of heat generated from a vehicle engine could be removed fractionally by using radiator. The struggle to maintain efficient exchange in cooling system is arduous as both active and passive methods require time catch up with high-power technologies. This study reported the transfer performance novel hybrid nanocoolant various mixing ratios. consisted carboxyl-functionalised graphene nanoplatelets (CGnP) titanium dioxide (TiO2) nanoparticles mixture distilled water ethylene glycol. thermal was conducted test rig equipped crossflow type effect different ratios, Reynolds number, air inlet velocity on studied. Nusselt number obtained base coolant close Dehghandokht's Shah-London's correlations. When CGnP-TiO2 (70:30) 0.1 wt% concentration mixed into coolant, 4.94%, 35.87%, 20.48% maximum increments were observed for overall coefficient, effectiveness radiator, respectively. error estimating proposed correlations less than 8%.
